Circle Meeting

I forgot to write a post about our last meeting. Many thanks to Amy Richardson for hosting our meeting. We all certainly enjoyed the Tastefully Simple food presented by our own, Lee Fesmire Hudson. I know it takes a lot of work to prepare for hosting something in your home, especially with kids. I know that I enjoyed the meeting; it was a nice change of pace. In this meeting we were glad to see Susan, Holly, Susie, Amy R., Jessie, Amy T., Patti, Teresa, Suzanne, and Marilyn. I hope that I did not leave anyone off.

If no one else objects, I will be glad to host the June meeting. We can meet Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. I hope everyone can come!!

P.S. I also want to brag on our recent Mother Daughter Banquet. Everything looked beautiful, the food was great, and the entertainment was a blessing. Thank you Susan for organizing everything!

Prayer Requests

I just recieved an email from Susan asking for prayer for Jessie's father and Ronald's father. Jessie's father, Paul Wilson, went to the hospital with pnuemonia and has since been diagnosed with lung cancer in his left lung.

Ronald's father is in the final days of his earthly life. He has gone down fast.

Please remember both of these men and their families in your prayers. We all know how powerful prayer can be.

Preparing for the Mother Daughter Banquet

Hello everyone! Just got this email from Susan about the upcoming Mother Daughter Banquet:

Good morning, ladies!! Our banquet is coming along, thanks to Donna and her terrific ideas!! Our theme will be "Let's Go To The Beach!". We will be decorating with beach stuff. Donna has brought some visors to give away as door prizes. We will be decorating on Saturday afternoon around 3:00. If you have any sand buckets, beach balls, beach towels, seashells, etc. you want to share, please get them to me before Saturday or bring them with you when you come to decorate. Bob is grilling chicken for us and everybody is to bring a dish. The men will be serving so it will be a real treat. We will also be talking about ways to protect our skin from the sun and will have literature and free samples of skin care products to hand out. (Thanks Donna and Holly). If you would like to share a story about skin cancer or how it has effected your life, you will have a chance to do so. Members of the Gibson County Beta Club will be performing their skit they took to the State Convention and won lst place. We will be taking up a love offering for them to help cover expenses incurred during their trip to the National Convention where they will be competing for the national title. Please be sure to bring a small offering for them if you are able. Our circle will be donating $100 out of our account to help them. I know two of the Whitley girls are involved as well as Savannah Lee, but don't remember the other girl. Jackie Tucker and Sharon Lee are their sponsors and they will be joining us for our meal. If you have anything else that needs to be shared, please let me know and I will spread the word. Hope to see you Saturday afternoon around 3:00. Love, Susan

The Flu Season is Here!!

Well..... I officially have the flu. Yuck... Yuck... Yuck. Remember to wash your hands as often as possible. I feel terrible and am trying to stay away from my family so they won't get it too. Enjoy the beautiful weather and have a good day!

Prayer Request

I just received an email requesting prayer for Susie & her mother. Susie has had to take her mother to the nursing home because she has had a rapid decline in her health over the past week. Many of us know how hard it can be to have to face that decision of putting a loved one in the nursing home. We need to pray for Susie as she comes to terms with this situation. We also need to be in prayer for her mother. Her health is failing and she has had to leave her home.

Welcome to our all new FAITH CIRCLE blog. This is intended to be a way to share out thoughts, prayer requests, concerns, recipes, announcements, or whatever you wish. Email Amy for suggestions.

I enjoy the time that we spend together. You are my friends, sisters, mentors,..... I miss our time together. I know we are all so busy but we can try. Warmer weather is on the way and the days will begin to get longer. We need to plan some meeting dates so it will be easier to meet.
